Bio
I am an artist with a specialty in painting, drawing and ceramics. I was born in the front range of Colorado, and took a liking to the outdoors and my small community. I later went on to graduate with both a psychology and studio arts degree from the University of Colorado Boulder. I am currently based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Artist Statement
My work attempts to demonstrate the delicate but rich moments in time when we catch the sight of an honest physical expression of someone whom we love or maybe even have just met, or the posture of their body telling a short part of their story not explained through verbal cues.
This work leads me to explore how people have a way of making this life the most treacherous and the most beautiful, which is why I connect so much to oil portrait and figure work. Community is essential and I find that art is one of the ways I can analyze and connect to it.
